Rear sight has been replaced with a King adjustable sight. Th, e matching checkered walnut pistol grip stock is in good condition with some minor marks and light finish wear. The checkered walnut forearm is in very good condition with some minor marks and finish wear. The lever is worn to near gray with traces of case color and some spots of surface rust. A side scope mount that required drilling has been attached to the left side.

The blued metal finish on the barrel is in good condition showing little wear with a patch of finish loss due to older cleaned surface rust and some light scratching. This rifle was made to introduce the Charles Newton designed. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling.

Serial # 201119.250-3000 Savage lever action take-down rifle with a 22” lightweight round barrel. Original sights replaced with a Redfield receiver mounted aperture sight and a large bead front sight. Original butt plate is broken at the toe.
The walnut stock and forearm are in very good condition with small dings, scratches and finish wear. The receiver finish is a brownish gray patina with traces of case color showing. The magazine tube is worn to gray and is turning brown. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in fair condition with edge wear and scratching and a fine light to moderate coating of rust and is turning brown.
S prefix guns were made from 1926 until 1932. This is an early S prefix model with the “Corporation” marked barrel (The Marlin Firearms Corporation) and the star marking on the upper tang. Serial # S6336.22 RF caliber lever action rifle with a 24” octagon barrel. Please see the pictures to get a better idea of the condition. Action works fine and is still tight and solid. Non-factory recoil pad with an LoP of 13-7/8”. The matching checkered walnut butt stock is in fair condition with some marks from use and damaged finish. The nicely figured checkered walnut beavertail is in good to very good condition with some minor marks from use and some finish wear. The top tang has some light surface rust. Fox” marked engraved receiver is a dark gray patina with traces of case color and carry wear to the underside. There are some tiny dings in the left barrel. The blued metal finish on the barrels is in good condition showing some light scuff marks and light scratching. The bores are excellent, clean and shiny.
